The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 438 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 438 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 39977.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 389 patients from isolation centers across the country with 11 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 123 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 14300.
Kaduna recorded 50 new cases, Rivers reported 40 new cases while Edo, Adamawa and Oyo recorded 37, 25 and 20 new cases respectively.
Other states are Nasarawa-16, Osun-15, Enugu-15, FCT-14, Ekiti-13, Ondo-13, Ebonyi-11, Katsina-10, Abia-9, Delta-8, Kwara-4, Ogun-3, Cross River-3, Kano-3, Bauchi-3, Yobe-2, Sokoto-1 and Niger-1.
NCDC reports that there are 39977 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 16948 discharged and 856 deaths.
