    Nigeria announces 325 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 325 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.

    The 325 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 48,770.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 292 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 87 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 16456.

    • Nigeria announces 329 new coronavirus cases

    Federal Capital Territory reported 49 new cases, Gombe recorded 28 cases while Ebonyi, Plateau and Kwara recorded 20, 19 and 18 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Enugu-17, Imo-12, Rivers-12, Kaduna-11, Ogun-10, Edo-9, Oyo-9, Ondo-8, Osun-8, Ekiti-4, Borno-1, Kano-1, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 48,770 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 36,290 discharged and 974 deaths.
