    Nigeria announces 313 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 313 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday.

    The 313 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 7839.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 89 patients from isolation centers across the country with five new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with a whooping 148 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 3505.

    • Nigeria announces 265 new coronavirus cases

    Thirty six new cases were reported in the Federal Capital Territory, 27 in Rivers, 19 in Edo and 13 in Kano state.

    Others are 12-Ogun, 11-Ebonyi, 8-Nasarawa, 8-Delta, 7-Oyo, 6-Plateau, 5-Kaduna, 4-Kwara, 3-Akwa Ibom, 3-Bayelsa, 2-Niger and 1-Anambra.

    NCDC reports that there are 7839 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2263 discharged and 226 deaths.
