The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 284 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.
The 284 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 6677.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 106 patients from isolation centers across the country and eight deaths were also reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with a whooping 199 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 2954.
Twenty six new cases were reported in Rivers, 19 in Oyo and eight in the Federal Capital Territory.
Others are 8-Borno, 7-Plateau, 6-Jigawa, 5-Kano, 2-Abia, 1-Ekiti, 1-Delta, 1-Kwara and 1-Taraba.
NCDC reports that there are 6677 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 1840 discharged and 200 deaths.
