The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 160 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday.
The 160 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 59,287.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 125 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.
Rivers state recorded the most cases for the day with 42 positive cases announced by the NCDC.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 32 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19636.
Plateau state reported 21 new cases, Federal Capital Territory recorded 18 while Kaduna state announced 14 new cases.
Other states are Ogun-11, Katsina-10, Kwara-3, Ondo-3, Imo-3, Anambra-1, Abia-1 and Oyo-1.
NCDC reports that there are 59,287 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 50,718 discharged and 1,113 deaths.
