The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 1,444 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Sunday.
The 1,444 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 110,387.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 3,950 patients from isolation centers across the country with 15 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 901 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 40,624.
Plateau state recorded 136 new cases, Kaduna state recorded 57, Federal Capital Territory reported 54, Ebonyi had 53 while Akwa Ibom state reported 52 new cases.
Other states are Nasarawa-32, Osun-29, Ogun-28, Imo-16, Oyo-16, Edo-15, Kano-14, Rivers-10, Ekiti-7, Borno-6, Abia-5, Benue-4, Yobe-4, Kebbi-3 and Anambra-2.
NCDC reports that there are 110,387 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 89,317 discharged and 1,435 deaths.
