The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 131 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 131 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 56,735.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 220 patients from isolation centers across the country with two new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 45 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 18768.
Kaduna state reported 17 new cases, Plateau recorded 17 while Federal Capital Territory announced 16 new cases.
Other states are Delta-6, Niger-6, Kwara-5, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Cross River-2, Ekiti-2, Enugu-2, Osun-2, Sokoto-2, Bauchi-1, Ebonyi-1, Katsina-1 and Rivers-1.
NCDC reports that there are 56,735 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 48,092 discharged and 1,093 deaths.
