    Nigeria announces 126 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 126 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Sunday.

    The 126 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 58,324.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 74 patients from isolation centers across the country with two new deaths reported.

    The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of cases for the day with 30 new cases.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 24 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 19239.

    • Nigeria announces 213 new coronavirus cases

    Rivers state reported 23 new cases, Ogun state recorded 13 while Katsina state announced 9 new cases.

    Other states are Plateau-9, Ondo-6, Kaduna-4, Kwara-4, Imo-2, Bauchi-1 and Edo-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 58,324 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 49,794 discharged and 1,108 deaths.
