The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 125 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
The 125 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 54,588.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 188 patients from isolation centers across the country with 21 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 42 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 18219.
Federal Capital Territory reported 25 new cases, Katsina recorded 14 new cases while Kaduna, Kwara and Ondo recorded 11, 8 and 7 new cases respectively.
Other states are Delta-4, Anambra-3, Oyo-3, Edo-2, Ogun-2, Osun-2 and Cross River-1.
NCDC reports that there are 54,588 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 42,627 discharged and 1,048 deaths.
