    Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has expressed condolences to Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi’s family following the death of the former Secretary to the Zamfara State Government (SSG) on Saturday.

    Shinkafi, a former Commissioner for Religious Affairs during the Yari administration in the state, died on Saturday in Abuja following a brief illness.

    Yari, addressing at the APC stakeholders’ gathering in Talata-Mafara town on Sunday, termed Shinkafi’s death as a big loss to the state and Nigeria in general.

    Shinkafi made significant contributions to the growth of the state and Nigeria in general.

    “May Almighty Allah grant Aljannatul Firdausi to the deceased, forgive his shortcomings and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

    “We extend our condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and the people of the state,” he said.

    Special Du’as were offered for the deceased during the meeting.
