Laycon has emerged winner of the Big Brother Naija Season 5, Lockdown edition after he polled more votes than the remaining four housemates.

Laycon garnered 60 per cent of the votes while Dorathy who finished a distant second polled 21.85 per cent.

Nengi whom many thought would finish behind Laycon had 15.03 per cent. Neo finished fourth with 1.94 per cent and Vee who was first evicted on the night had 1.18 per cent.

Social media has since gone gaga after he was announced winner. When Laycon walked into the house 71 days ago and few would actually imagined that he would win the ultimate prize.

Born Olamilekan Agbeleshe, the 26-year-old singer and rapper from Lagos has kick started a new movement.

He describes himself as being versatile and able to coin words together to soothe scenarios and moods.

    • I had feelings for Bright O, Kiddwaya, says Dorathy

A versatile smooth talker and a freshman on the Naija music scene, Laycon swayed the hearts of the BBNaija House with brilliance and knowledge.

His victory has long been expected especially after Biggie changed the eviction format from that which was employed in the earlier rounds of the competition and Laycon topped the voting category for that week with 40% of the votes.

This was routinely followed with another 50% dominance the very next time he was again up for eviction.

The people have voted and the winner is the people’s champion as this is the first time that even celebrities in their own rights rallied to his support, some of whom include; Ayefele, Samklef, Teni, Ninihola, Odunlade Adekola, Iyabo Ojo, Tunde Ednut, Nkechi blessing, Agba Akin amongst others.
