Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that Lai Mohammed, the Information Minister was booed at the ongoing NBA conference held in Abuja on Tuesday.
The five-day Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) annual general conference themed ‘Transition, Transformation and Sustainable Institution’ kicked off on 26 August and was declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari who enjoyed a rousing welcome from lawyers who chanted ‘Sai Baba’.
But it appears Mohammed, a lawyer by profession did not enjoy the same ovation, according to Fani-Kayode who is also an opposition leader.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said that Lai Mohammed was lucky that he was stoned by his colleagues.

“Lai Mohammed was booed out of the NBA Conference yesterday,” Fani-Kayode said.
“The truth is that he deserved even worse. He is lucky that he was not stoned.
“He chose to serve tyranny and has therefore lost the right to be honored by his colleagues at the Bar or be counted in the ranks of the learned.”
