The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2025 edition of the Public Service Examinations, which were originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, citing the need to ensure the process’ integrity.
“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” said Mr Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, in a statement released Monday evening.
A copy of this was also put on the state government’s X account on Monday evening. According to Orunsolu, the examinations will now happen on “Friday, May 23, 2025”, with a revised date for specific papers to be notified soon via official channels.
Candidates should check the Board’s portal (https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng) for real-time updates.
They should also keep their registration details and print their exam slips before the new dates are announced.
Orunsolu thanked stakeholders for their patience and cooperation and assured them that the Board is committed to conducting credible, transparent, and efficient pub exams.
This development comes barely a day before the previous exam date, pushing candidates to extend their preparation time amid increased expectations across the state’s civil service hierarchy.
