Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Incident Commander in Lagos state has announced the discharge of 42 coronavirus patients in the state.
Providing update on the coronavirus pandemic, the governor said 42 more persons – 22 males and 20 females, all Nigerians have been discharged from isolation facilities on Friday, adding that, they have been allowed “to reunite with the society”.
He said, “The patients, 32 from Eti-Osa (Landmark), eight from Lekki and two from Onikan Isolation centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.
“This brings to 448, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos State Isolation facilities.
Lagos is the epicentre of coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria with 1667 confirmed cases since the index case.
Kano has the second most cases in Nigeria with 547 cases while the Federal Capital Territory has 336 cases.
