Youths in Katsina State have flocked to the streets in a protest to show their support for Iran while also opposing US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Their protest was reported in a post on the popular social media network X on Sunday.
According to the post, the protest was held in support of the Iranian government amid the current conflict between Iran and Israel, which is supposedly backed by the United States.
In a viral video, protesting youths were seen in large numbers walking through the streets with a massive banner displaying the Iranian leader’s face and a map of the country.
The same poster also featured photographs of President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, both of which had been vandalised or crossed out, indicating that the protesters rejected them.
Their demonstration comes hours after the US successfully bombed nuclear sites in Iran.
Iran and Israel have been at war after the Israelis bombed Tehran on Friday, killing top Iranian Army generals and nuclear scientists. A development that led to retaliation by the Arab nation.
At the time of filing this report, over 200 people from both warring factions have been killed in the war, with many injured.
