The Kaduna State Police Command has announced a manhunt for the killers of a seminarian at the Saint Raphael Catholic Church Parish in the state’s Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
On Thursday night, gunmen suspected to be bandits burned down the parish House of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church in Fadan Kamantan, Zangon Kataf LGA, killing a seminarian, Stephen Danlami.
Bandits invaded the church in droves, according to ASP Manir Hassan of the Kaduna State Police Command.
When the terrorists were unable to gain entrance to the main building, they set fire to the residence, as well as a vehicle and motorcycle parked on the property, according to Hassan.
He explained that Danlami perished as a result of smoke inhalation while attempting to flee the raging fire, although two other priests within the parish home survived.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) told Chronicle NG that the command had initiated an inquiry to determine what led to the church attack in order to apprehend and prosecute the culprits.
