A Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Wednesday remanded one Francis Ugachukwu, a blind man, to the Kirikiri Correctional Center for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl in the state.

The accused is alleged to have committed the crime in November 2022 at No. 16 Kareem Giwa Street, Abule-Osun, Ojoo, Lagos State.

The preceding Justice Abiola Soladoye remanded Ugachukwu in custody pending the outcome of his bail hearing and application.

The accused was charged with one count of defilement.

Abimbola Abolade, the state prosecutor’s counsel, told the court that the defendant committed the crime in November 2022 at No. 16 Kareem Giwa Street, Abule-Osun, Ojoo, Lagos State.

      Empty threat.
The Governor should think of how to first of all remove touts from the roads.
They constitute more nuisance than the street traders who come out daily to make an honest living.
