The incumbent Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, won a landslide victory in all 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state, receiving 540, 308 votes.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Uzodimma received 540,008 votes to win all 27 LGAs.
The results compilation is now complete.
While the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Samuel Anyanwu, received 71,503 votes across the state, according to the results declared by the electoral umpire, the Labour Party candidate, Athan Achonu, received 64,081 votes.
Prof. Abayomi Fasina, the state returning officer for the election and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oye, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, ordered an hour break to compute the final result and declare the victor of the poll.
The Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party have both called for the election to be entirely cancelled.
They said that security agents conspired with INEC workers to assist APC members to rig the election.
