Sunday Igboho‘s wife Ropo, along with some notable Yoruba traditional rulers have been sighted at the court premises in Cotonou where the activist’s case is to be held today.
Some Yoruba Nation supporters were seen around the premises waiting in solidarity with their leader who was arrested in an airport in Benin Republic last week.
According to a BBC correspondent, there was no heavy security presence at the court.
Sunday Igboho was nabbed in Cotonou while attempting to flee to Germany with his wife after he escaped the raid on his house by the Department of state services (DSS).
He was yet to arrive the court premises as of the time of filing this report.
