At least four people have been murdered by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Ulevkyaa village in Guma local Government area of Benue state, on Wednesday.

The herdsmen whose primary target was the media aide to Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, shot sporadically at his vehicle but were unable hit anyone in the convoy.

The media aide who was on his way to his village accompanied by his coolleagues was grateful to God for sparing his life.

Unfortunately, as the assailants couldn’t complete their mission, they opened fire on other commuters, killing a three-month-old baby, a man, his wife and another person.

The unfortunate incident which coincidentally occured in the hometown of the Governor, Samuel Ortom, has been a target for assailants in the past few years.
