PDP stalwart and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has stated that he is not too big to serve Nigeria if President Tinubu gives him a political appointment.
Wike who noted that President Tinubu who is in the ruling All Progressives Congress had not informed him of any appointment, said he’ll have to consult with his wife and friends if President Tinubu gives him an appointment.
Wike who stated this in an interview with BBC Pidgin, however, stated that he wishes to rest after serving as governor for eight years.
Wike who was recently on a closed door meeting with the president further stated that he will analyze himself to see if he is prepared for any appointment if the situation arises.
He said, “I’m going to rest; I have worked for eight years, so I’m going to rest
“Tinubu has not informed me about getting an appointment; I’m not too big to serve my country, but he has never told me that he would give me an appointment.
“If he asks me, the first thing I will do is ask my wife and friends what they think about it.
