
Former Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose has put politics aside to congratulate Kayode Fayemi on his emergence as the chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum.
Fayemi emerged as chairman after a meeting held on Wednesday night in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
He was nominated by Malam Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state and seconded by the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta after which other governors unanimously elected him to lead the forum till 2021.
Congratulating him on Twitter, Fayose, a member of the opposition PDP said he put politics aside.

“I congratulate Gov Kayode Fayemi on his appointment and elevation as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).
“It is well deserved for you and the entire people of Ekiti. Politics will come and go, but Ekiti State will remain eternal.
“Once again, you have my best wishes,” he tweeted.
