The Lagos State Government has confirmed four new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) on Thursday, taking the total confirmed cases to 12.
The Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi confirmed four new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic in Lagos.
This brings the total number of cases confirmed in the country to 12.
The Health Commissioner confirmed the new case at a news briefing on Thursday.
Reacting to the news, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) urged Nigerians to remain calm. “Please adhere to recommendations by health authorities including handwashing, self isolation for returning travelers and others,” the disease control centre said.
“We continue to scale up response activities and are working closely with the relevant states to identify and follow up with contacts, test people and other measures.
