The corpse of a 20-year-old commercial tricycle rider, colloquially known as “keke napep,” was retrieved from a pool of water in the Wuye area by the FCT Emergency Management Agency, FEMA.
Adamu Yusuf, the tricycle rider, was killed while attempting to fetch water from the pool to wash his tricycle.
Following a directive from Dr. Abbas Garba Idriss, Director General of FEMA, the agency’s search and rescue team sprung into action and retrieved the corpse of the deceased rider, who was alleged to have drowned at 6 a.m. today.
FEMA divers and community volunteers worked together to recover Yusuf’s lifeless body at 11:30 a.m. and quickly handed over his remains to his relatives for burial.
