Former Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose has thrown jabs at Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun after his stooge, Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement lost governorship election.

Shortly after INEC declared the All Progressives Congress candidate, Prince Dapo Abiodun as the governor-elect in Ogun, Fayose mocked Amosun who famously said “A ma ja Ekiti gba” during a campaign for Kayode Fayemi, who eventually won the Ekiti election.

In his tweet late Sunday, Fayose wrote, “Your Excellency Ibikunle Amosun, please join us as we battle our orchestrated ‘loss’ at the tribunal. What goes round has come round,” he said deriding the Ogun governor.

YE Ibikunle Amosun, pls join us as we battle our orchestrated ‘loss’ at the tribunal. What goes round has come round. You “Ja Ekiti Gba!”, they have “Ja Ogun Gba.”
YE, please remember to congratulate HE. Dapo Abiodun o.

As at press time, Governor Amosun is yet to congratulate Mr. Abiodun while Mr. Akinlade and his party, APM, have rejected the outcome of the election.

The APM says it will challenge the results at an election tribunal citing irregularities including violence and manipulation of results.

In the official result announced on Sunday night, Mr. Abiodun polled 241, 670 votes, the highest number of votes in the election to defeat Mr. Akinlade, governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) who scored 222,153.
