Nigerians have sternly berated billionare and oil magnet Arthur Eze over his call for Nigerians to support the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.

Chronicle NG reports that Arthur Eze urged Nigerians to support Tinubu and praised his inclusive approach to governance.

He made the remarks in a video that was widely shared on social media and showed him donating N20 million to a church.

Eze said, “Tinubu has no boundary. If you go to Abuja, you will see Wike, an Igbo man, as a minister. Umahi is an Igbo man and minister. No boundaries. All the types of people we want.

“So this Nigeria, after eight years, will change. It has started changing. Now, I beg everybody to support him before we die.”

In reaction to his statement, Michael Ebukam in a statement on X, states, “I agree that this man is an elder, but he certainly is no statesman; he just keeps talking rubbish and supporting useless politicians just to protect his oil interests.”

Another X user, simply identified as Senior Prefect, alleged that the billionare “is one of our problems in Igbo land.”

He adds that Eze “only knows how to snatch people’s land, jail the owners, and do audio donations in churches.”

For Ebube, she urged Nigerians to jettison the call for support for the president made by Eze when she said, “Don’t listen to some Igbos politicians; they are sycophants; they are betrayals; don’t take their words seriously; they are all about their pockets.”

“You can see the lies they tell you. They want you to hold on to hope for another eight years so Tinubu can finish his tenure. Why after 8 years? Why not the first 4 years? If Nigerians don’t stop these people, these people will end Nigerians,” Oyinkitana, another X user, noted.

Describing the billionaire as a “foolish man,” Chijioke Okorie, in his reaction, asserted that the businessman has no “honour.”

“Arthur Eze has always been a foolish man whose wealth is derived from his slavish attitude. Ask him about his statement in Ebonyi State, where he said that Buhari would hand over to Umahi. These are men without honour,” Okorie noted.
