    EFCC alerts public to recruitment scam

    Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday alerted the public to a recruitment scam on social media.

    The agency noted that it is not recruiting at this time and it urged unsuspecting members of the public to ignore any requirement scam on social media.

    In a statement by the Commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, it said, “The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to some online advertisements linking the Commission with phony “ongoing recruitments” .

    “The Commission is not recruiting at the moment.

    “The public is enjoined to ignore any advertisement of recruitment not publicly announced by the EFCC. Operatives of the Commission are on the trail of fraudsters offering misleading information in this regard and they will be brought to book.
