Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state who disclosed this in a statement, commended the resilience and commitment of health workers and other first responders on the frontline of the state government’s efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Obaseki said, “We have discharged the 35th patient from one of our isolation facilities in the state. We appreciate the medical workers and other frontline staff battling to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to review our measures until we win the battle against the virus.”

Meanwhile, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Patrick Okundia, noted that the state has intensified Active Case Search (ACS) activities in 432 rural and urban communities across the state’s 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs), contact tracing over 796 persons and testing over 824 others.
