    Edo Decides: INEC begins collation of result 10am

    Edo Decides: PDP accuses APC of plotting to disrupt collation of results

    The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that the collation of results from the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday will commence at 10 am today.

    This was disclosed in a statement issued early Sunday by the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State, Dr Anugbum Omuoha.

    The REC assured the public that the collation process would be conducted with full transparency, in line with the commission’s existing regulations.

    “This is to inform the general public, stakeholders, and observers that the collation of results for the ongoing Edo State governorship election will resume today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10 am,” the statement read.

    Omuoha reiterated the commission’s commitment to ensuring the collation process follows the laid down guidelines, adding that the patience and cooperation of all parties involved were appreciated.

    “We appreciate the patience and cooperation of the parties as we strive to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this important election,” he said.

    The REC further appealed to all stakeholders to remain calm and orderly, stressing that INEC remains dedicated to delivering a free, fair, and transparent election in Edo State.
