The US Consulate General on Monday urged Nigerian citizens to apply for interview waiver (IW) popularly known as drop box.

In an email to eligible Nigerians, the US Consulate told those who have already applied for face-to-face interview to embrace the drop box option.

“You are being contacted because you are scheduled for a non-immigrant visa interview on a day between February 1 and October 2022, at the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos, Nigeria.

Adding that, “If you meet the criteria on this https://ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visarenew.asp, you may be eligible for an interview waiver (IW).

‘Applicants are required to schedule IW appointments before documents can be  dropped off  at the US Consulate on the day and time of their appointment,” the email added.
