Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna is not in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) says his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Sani Dattijo on Monday.
There have been claims on social media that the Kaduna governor was in ICU after he said he was still coronavirus positive four days ago.
El-Rufai tested positive for coronavirus on 28 March but is yet to test negative for the virus although the governor has been working from his isolation some persons still peddled the news that he was in ICU.
To prove the doubters wrong, Dattijo had a video call with the governor and posted it along with a still image of him talking to the governor.
“Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i at 2:06pm, Monday 20 April. Alive and Well. Working from isolation.
“To all the folks tweeting about him in ICU, you shall see it before he does insha Allah,” he tweeted in what many has perceived as a scathing message.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Kaduna state has recorded nine cases of coronavirus as at Sunday, 19 April 2020.
