The Federal Civil Service Commission denied a false recruiting advertisement attributed to the commission that is now spreading on social media.
Dr Mary Ogbe, the commission’s Permanent Secretary, said this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
According to Ogbe, the false advertisement titled ”FCSC recruitment 2023/2024” that is now spreading on social media is not from the commission.
“The commission’s management wishes to inform the general public that the purported recruitment exercise is entirely false.”
“The writer of this fake story, using his website www.recruitmentfile.net to peddle his antics of misinforming the general public, particularly desperate job seekers, listed several steps/requirements for recruitment into the civil service.”
Ogbe reiterated the commission’s prior disclaimer that the government has not removed the suspension/embargo on Civil Service recruitment.
“In addition, the Commission has a long history of using television/radio stations and newspapers to announce such a national exercise, rather than social media.”
“For clarification and emphasis, the general public is hereby informed that the advertised recruitment on social media is untrue and should therefore be ignored and disregarded,” Ogbe said.
