Aisha Buhari, wife of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, and members of her family have moved from Daura in Katsina State to her late husband’s home in Kaduna State.

The former president’s residence, where he lived before departing Nigeria for medical treatment in London, is located at Ungwan Rimi GRA in Kaduna.

Aisha and her family arrived on Sunday at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna.

They were greeted warmly by a delegation led by Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, and Hon. Munira Tanimu, Majority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.

Late Buhari returned to his home in Kaduna in February 2025 after nearly two years in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari was accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and other high-ranking officials.

This relocation concludes his low-key stay in Daura, where he had decided to live a tranquil life after leaving office in May 2023.
