President Muhammadu Buhari will address Nigerians on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 7pm, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina says.
According to Adesina, the broadcast will be televised on state-owned television and radio stations only.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast”.
Chronicle NG reports that the President is expected to address a whole range of issues which will include a possible extension of the 14-day lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.
The President is also expected to announce new states that would be included in the lockdown.
As of today, the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos and Ogun states are on lockdown following a directive by the President.
President Buhari is expected to detail the progress made in reaching Nigerians with the palliatives on ground and the plans to reach even more citizens.
