    Presidency has said President Muhammadu Buhari will be addressing the nation on Monday at 8pm contrary to reports that he would do so.

    Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the President said the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 will hold its daily briefing.

    In a tweet on Monday, he said, “No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned,” he said.

    • Buhari address Nigerians Monday

    He added that, “Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.

    Aliyu Sani, national coordinator of the presidential task force on COVID-19 had said that President Buhari would address Nigerians when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
