President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with government and people of Sokoto State over the passing of Sheikh Haruna Waziri Usman, 96, after a prolonged illness.
Sheikh Usman was the patriarch of the Waziri Tambuwal family, and Governor Aminu Tambuwal’s uncle.
President Buhari in statement signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said Sokoto has lost an illustrious son.
The President said: “Sokoto State and indeed the nation lost a noble and distinguished scholar.”
President Buhari prays that Allah will forgive the shortcomings of the community leader and grant Waziri Tambuwal family the fortitude to bear the loss.
