President Muhammadu Buhari has named the Abuja National Stadium after MKO Abiola subject to approval by the National Assembly.
Buhari made the declaration during his June 12 Democracy Day maiden speech at the Eagle Square on Wednesday.
He said the Federal Government will also honour Baba Gana Kingibe and Gani Fawehinmi.

Also present at the Democracy Day celebration was Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Others were Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
