An unknown number of students have been abducted by armed bandits from the College of Agriculture and Animal Science in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
The gunmen attacked the school around 11pm on Sunday night, kidnapping students and staff of the institution.
According to reports, at least two security operatives and two watchmen were killed during the incident.
The Zamfara state police command confirmed the latest development through its Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, who assured that a statement will soon be released.
It can be recalled that Chronicle NG reported the abduction and release of the provost of the institution, Mr Habibu Mainasara.
The provost was kidnapped from his residence on the campus in July.
The kidnappers requested N5 million ransom for his release, however; due to the intervention of prominent members of the society, he was released after spending three days in the bandits’ den.
