Bandits kidnapped two teenage sisters from the Guita community in Chikakore, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It was gathered that the kidnappers struck on Sunday around 11:25 p.m. and have since sought a N30 million ransom from their family.
This comes just eight days after the Chikakore community protested at the office of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike about the state of the key road that connects their community, which they characterised as one of the causes of serial kidnapping in the area.
It was gathered that the bandits, numbering six, made away with the girls, who were said to be 16 and 14 years old, through the forests and hills in the area.
A resident who spoke on the abduction said, “The two girls, aged 14 and 16, were kidnapped from their home on Sunday. The bandits attacked St. at about 11:25 p.m.
“However, I learned that the kid appears to have demanded a N30 million ransom from the girls’ family.”
At the time of filing this report, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comments.
