One person has been reportedly killed by bandits while his six family members were kidnapped on a farm at Labgeta community of Kogi State.

The incident happened in the Labgeta neighbourhood, which is situated on the major Abuja-Lokoja expressway.

According to Ishaya Bulus, a victim’s relative, the incident occurred on Wednesday as the victims were picking beniseeds at their property.

“They were busy harvesting Beniseeds when the kidnappers suddenly appeared and rounded them up at gunpoint.”

He narrated the incident, saying that one of the victims attempted to flee and was shot by one of the kidnappers while they were transporting the victims into the forest.
