Armed bandits have abducted the Niger state commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mallam Idris Mohammed.
According to reports, the commissioner was abducted around 11pm on Sunday under a heavy downpour.
The kidnappers who were heavily armed invaded his residence at Baban Tunga, Tafa local government area of the State.
The incident was yet to be confirmed by the police authorities as at the time of filing this report.
The latest development is the second consecutive abduction within a period of 24 hours in the same state.
It can be recalled that Chronicle NG reported the abduction of an APC chieftain in Niger state less than 24 hours prior to the latest abduction.
Malam Aminu Bobi who is the Zone C chairman of APC was kidnapped in Mariga Local Government Area of the state on Saturday while the elder statesman was on his farm.
