Phrank Shaibu, a media adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has chastised Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, for her remarks about her husband’s sexual harassment charges.
Chronicle NG reports that Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a lawmaker from Kogi Central Senatorial District, accused Akpabio of sexual harassment during an appearance on Arise TV on Friday.
She claimed that the Senate President had made sexual passes towards her on two occasions and that the seating arrangement was part of a plot to impede legislative tasks.
The Kogi legislator compared her situation to a student failing an examination because she refused to sleep with her lecturer.
Reacting to the claims during a news conference in her Abuja apartment, Mrs. Akpabio accused the Kogi senator of generating content for personal benefits, noting that the charges against her husband are unfounded.
She, therefore, initiated a legal case against Akpoti-Uduaghan over her allegations and claimed N250 billion as damages.
Shaibu responded to the development in an X post, berating Mrs. Akpabio for claiming that Natasha’s husband should have contacted her because they were friends.
He wrote, “So, madam truly believes that High Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the revered Alema of Warri Kingdom, should have personally reached out to her to lament that the ‘Uncommon Transformer’ harbored indecent intentions toward his wife?
“That he didn’t call to say your hubby wanted to sleep with his wife makes the account of @NatashaAkpoti false? If you have no valid argument, what happened to silence?
“By the way, Natasha isn’t the first woman to accuse your ‘transformer’ of this kind of thing!”
