Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last presidential election, has stormed the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to witness proceedings in his petition challenging Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, as election winners.

The former Vice President appeared at the court about 8:30 a.m. to make witness arguments in his petition on notice requesting live media coverage of the court.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate, was in court on Monday and Wednesday to hear proceedings in his own case.

The former Vice President appeared at the court about 8:30 a.m. to make witness arguments in his petition on notice for live court broadcast.

According to the Daily Post, Atiku was followed to court by PDP officials, supporters, sympathisers, and business acquaintances.

In light of Atiku’s status as a former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the media also stated that security has been ramped up to prevent security breaches.

Although Atiku’s plea was originally scheduled at 2 p.m. for a pre-hearing session, it was reportedly moved to today morning.
