    The chairman of Agbado/Oke Odo, Dr. Augustine Adeoye Arogundade has ordered the immediate closure of Ile Epo market as part of efforts to support the Lagos State Government in the containment of the coronavirus pandemic.

    The chairman ordered the immediate closure on Wednesday, 15 April warning that those who do not obey will face the full wrath of the law.

    “The Executive Chairman Agbado/Oke Odo, Dr. Augustine Adeoye Arogundade today, Wednesday 15th April 2020 ordered the immediate lockup of Ile Epo Market,” a message sent to Chronicle NG read.

    “This is a result of non-compliance with the federal government directives on social distancing and the increase in the confirmation of coronavirus cases in the area.

    Dr Arogundade in his Easter message encouraged resident of Agbado/Oke Odo to observe the stay at home directive of government.

    He noted that the state government was working hard to ease the burden on residents. “Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been trying to alleviate your suffering by providing relief materials in terms of food stuffs and money through the local governments and LCDAs.

    He added that, “The stay at home order is to save us from the transmission that is going on in our community.

    “I urge you all to be security conscious during this trying period by alerting the security agencies when there is any threat. Also, keep away from anything that could cause fire in the home,” he said.
