    The chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state and former Special Assistant to former Governor Segun Oni was shot by unidentified gunmen.

    He is reported to have been shot around a football viewing centre in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

    The death of Ojo has attracted comments in the social media with Adebayo Adebolu tweeting: “The way politicians and their urchins snuff life out of souls in Ekiti is way too bad. These killings must stop. Ekiti lost a vibrant comrade.’’

    Rasheed Rasheed ‏ @rasheedsenior said: “Another senior cadre gone! Another candle broken! First it was Willy Olawuyi Aiyegoro, now Bunmi Ojo. Both shot dead in Ado-Ekiti!!! Hmmmm’’
