Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, the executive governor of Ondo State, has reportedly returned to the country following his medical vacation in Germany.

The Governor departed the country months ago for medical treatment in Germany and was reported to have returned to the country on Thursday.

The news of his return was confirmed on the X handle of his wife, Betty Akeredolu.

“Homebound,” she captioned her husband’s picture in an aeroplane.

Furthermore, Mr. Wole Ogunmolasuyi, the Ondo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, confirmed his arrival to newsmen.

He stated that the governor was already at his Ibadan residence.

Ogunmolasuyi said, “We thank God the governor has arrived in the country. He landed in Abuja and moved straight to Ibadan.”

    • Akeredolu is alive, Ondo Govt breaks silence

Months ago, the Ondo State Governor was rumoured to have died.

However, a statement issued by the state commissioner for information, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, rebuffed the claims.
