Abba Ganduje, a son of the incumbent governor of Kano state, has lost his bid to represent his constituency in the House of Representatives.
Abba Ganduje, an All Progressives Congress candidate contested to represent Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
Abba, who polled 44,809 votes was defeated by Tijjani Abudlkadir Jobe, the candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) who garnered 52, 456 votes.
Abba had campaigned vastly across his constituency and he even distributed point of sale (POS) machines to youths amid the scarcity of naira notes.
He also branded many SUVs and motorcycles in a bid to win the votes of Kano citizens.
