    Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, has congratulated Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, as he weds his heartthrob, Chioma Rowland, today.

    Davido had announced his wedding with the mother of his twin children in a series of posts on Instagram and on X.

    The traditional ceremony was taking place at the time of filing this report.

    Speaking on the wedding of the “Assurance” crooner, Obi, in a statement on X on Tuesday, felicitated the would-be couples.

    Obi wrote, “On behalf of my family, I most sincerely congratulate Davido and Chioma today as they begin their matrimonial journey with their traditional marriage ceremony. #CHIVIDO2024”

    The former governor of Anambra State added, “May God Almighty, who has brought them together this far, continue to guide, bless, and prosper their union, and may their love for each other be the foundation on which they build their lives together. Amen! “
