The Rivers State Police Command has verified the killing of four alleged notorious cultists terrorising Rundele Community in Rivers State’s Emohua Local Government Area.

According to the Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka Polycarp, who paraded them at the state police command in Port Harcourt on Friday, June 2, 2023, the suspects, Chinumezie, popularly known as Nigger-row, Chisa Orji, Okona Okwu, and others yet to be identified, are suspected members of a cult group who killed four members of a local vigilante group a few days ago in Rundele Community, Rivers State.

According to Nwonyi, when the cultists saw police officers being supported by members of a local vigilante, they engaged the officers in a shootout, which led to the deaths of the four criminals.

The Commissioner of Police revealed the dead bodies of those murdered during the operation, as well as two pump-action guns, one locally made gun, and empty AK-47 cartridges collected from the suspects.

CP Nwonyi maintained that the police, under his leadership, would do all that was necessary to protect the lives and property of Rivers residents.
