According to the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), ticket sales in the nation produced N441 million in March 2023.
Mr Opeyemi Ajayi, National Chairman of CEAN, revealed this to press in Lagos on Monday.
According to Ajayi, the total number of people admitted to theatres throughout the federation during the review period was 174,071.
“In March, we had total sales of N441,752,914 across all cinemas, with 174,071 viewers admitted.”
“Sales in March were encouraging compared to February, when we recorded total sales of N278 million due to Presidential and National Assembly election activities, as well as the national problem of cash crunch.”
“We’ll be showing Super Mario Bros., Domitila, Bloomboys, Honey Money, Renfield, and The Pope’s Exorcist in April,” he stated.
